Did you know you can buy, set up and run your own website for about $100 a year if you do it yourself?

Our goal is to teach you how to set up and run your own website. Think you can’t do it? Think again!

Creating your own site is easy enough, but as with anything, there IS a learning curve! Once your site is up and running, you can add photos, updates and more all by yourself.

What kind of website can you build?

  • Small business websites
  • Sales website
  • Personal and family websites
  • Crafting websites- are you a crafter?  link to your own website from Etsy or a similar site
  • Information sites
  • Membership sites

Already have a website?

If you already have a website and are tired of paying big bucks for updates, or waiting forever for updates to your website, maybe it’s time you learned to do it yourself!

Adding a WP based blog to your existing site is also an option!

You can keep your site as is, but you can add an a WP addition or blog that is easily updated though a dashboard- much like what you would find on Facebook or Twitter.  No messing with HTML code…unless you really want to.

We’re not talking about building free sites like you see at Blogger or WordPress.com.

Those are terrific for casual blogging, but unfortunately you don’t have control over those sites, and you don’t own them. They can be shut down anytime and you would lose your content.

The software we use to build our sites is WordPress.org. It is from the same people at WordPress.com but the software is installed on a domain that you buy. That means you own it. Your very own Cyber real estate. The domain is the “www” name or address of your site, and you can read more about that here.

We’ll show you how to set up your own site, from buying your domain name to getting webhosting, then we’ll move on to Cpanel and setting up WordPress.

Sound confusing? It is…like anything at first. And if you get easily overwhelmed, we can always set up the techie side of things up for you and then show you how to use your site once it’s up and running!
